We Elected What?!

Something about this just makes my blood boil.  There are all of these people who claim to be proponents for the "betterment of society", but in reality, they're simply fighting against that which they have zero understanding and therefore it creates fear in their lives.  Fear that things will be different.  Fear that they will not be able to quantify their own self worth against something that, while it may be a new concept, may turn out to be a positive thing regardless of their lack of comprehension.  Family values are a lifelong commitment to a relationship, the absolute commitment to one's children, and the commitment to the betterment of society via one's example.  Key word here is COMMITMENT. 

I dare these idiots in politics to prove that they're Not just lukewarm with that concept.  In fact, the majority of people I've come across over the years in basic corporate america can't even say it without their noses growing.  And those who choose to spout Bible verses on this subject (not attempting to piss off my Christian friends here, but I am going to tell it as it is), well, the Constitution specifically calls for a "Separation of Church and State".  Religion of any form has zero place in politics in our country ... or so the founding fathers specified. 

Quit throwing stones and being judgemental, politicians.  That glass house that you shatter just might be your own.

Circles

They say everything comes full circle.  I suppose many .. well, Most things in life do actually come full circle.  For those of you that now have The Lion King "Circle of Life" running through your head, that's not so much what I'm talking about .... although maybe the premises of the song lyrics have some similarities.  There's also the whole Karma thing to consider, and Karma tends to come full circle like a boomerang.  You put it out into the world ... it comes back to you in similar fashion.  Does that mean that every little mistake, every little bad decision, every time that we do something, that in hindsight was not the most brilliant of choices, does it mean that ultimately we'll have all those come back around to us in some cosmic form of repayment?  Logically speaking, the good stuff would then do the same thing.  So all those little good decisions, positive choices, moments where you simply do something that's positive for the earth and/or humankind as a whole and it doesn't occur to you at the time that you should receive anything in return in any form whatsoever, does it mean that those all come back around to us in a positive cosmic repayment of some form also?  Then could it also mean that, just like in math when you add the same positive and negative number together to equal zero, that similar levels of good and bad decisions / actions / moments would cancel each other out and create no cosmic intervention into life at all?  That directly contradicts when those who have made so many positive differences in others' lives have horrible things occur in their lives ... why?  Is it preordained?  Is it random occurrence?  As we delve deeper into the mysteries of genetics, are there certain genetic makeups or cellular structures or even just sets of pheromones that cause someone to be more likely to have these horrible situations occur in their lives?
I will say this, the only thing that seems to hold true is that if you continue to trudge through each and every day with anything and everything it brings, if you persevere through all situations, how you take those outcomes and what you ultimately do with them is what will follow you through life.  Positive or Negative.
